Here is the full unedited video called Deanos_Toy.mpg. This consists of two parts, one recorded in June 2000 and the other in March 2001. The videos were recorded by a friend who had an associate who was working on some kind of experimental polymer used to make batteries or something like that.

My friend had seen a demonstration of the polymer in action where a needle (hypodermic) was connected to a flyback transformer and used as an arc electrode. The arc was hot and red and the needle got red hot and started to melt at the tip. Then an identical needle that had had the tip coated with this polymer was used in the same arrangement and the arc was quieter, seemed to not generate heat, and the arc was blue. The needle did not get hot at all. My friend thought that the coating, if applied to spark gap electrodes, would reduce spark gap losses and improve power efficiency.

I was having some problems with my synchronous rotary spark gap due the the zinc rich brass alloy I had used to make the electrodes. Some of the zinc would be evaporated from the tips of the electrodes and cause arcing to places the arc was not supposed to go to at all like the explosion shield, (which is removed in this video) and a strange discharge to the outer turn of the primary coil.

Anyway I let him take the brass electrodes to the guy to get coated and (nine months later) he brought them back with the *magic* coating. The second part of the video starts with the installation of the coated electrodes (I had made some with silicon bronze or "copper" bolts for the business ends which had solved the strange discharge problem in the mean time) and then the coil is fired. Then I stop firing the coil and get my friend to come in and get a closeup of the spark gap. It is not quenching and produces a ring of fire all the way around the gap. He goes back outside after an examination of the electrodes reveals the coating is burning off. I start firing again and bring the power up slowly till the coating is burned off enough to get up to full power and still quench the gap. He still had tape left in the camcorder so I lit a piece of paper and set it on top of the coils topload to use as a flaming breakout. Made for some interesting primary strikes.

This video is 354.9MB in mpg format. It has some dead space between the first and second parts and a short dead spot where the camera locked up during the first part. I did not edit this dead space out as any editing results in a loss of video quality and you need a broadband connection to download it. It took 10 minuits to download with RoadRunner averaging over 500kbps which is pretty fast for a file of that size off of a non dedicated server. Your mileage may vary.
